Royal Hua Hin Golf Course

Royal Hua Hin Golf Course is in the centre of town and is the very first golf course to be opened in Thailand. Designed by a Scottish Engineer Mr A.O.Robin in 1924 he has created a traditional older British golf course design.

 

The 18 holes follow moderately hilly terrain around impressive limestone cliffs rising beside fairways lined with old growth trees that shade golfers who have wandered from the fairways. Your game will be tested here, with several tight tree-lined fairways, many nicely doglegged holes and relatively small, and often elevated, circular greens.

 

Although Royal Hua Hin does have some issues with the quality of the fairways in certain parts of the year it is always worth a game to see the history of this golf course.

 

A remodeled clubhouse makes for a nice 19th hole and to reflect on the golfers who have passed through the doors during the past century that Royal Hua Hin has been around.
